According to scientists at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) the ‘adoption of more profitable dairy cattle breeds type’ by farmers is a stepping stone towards developing nutritional security in Senegal.
As part of their dissemination strategy such ILRI scientists developed a poster that highlighted the role of the development of dairy cattle and the positive impacts it has on the livelihoods of farming communities. With the goal of combating poverty, the ILRI research is evidence of enhancing lives through livestock.
